Recently, the European Quality Development System (EFMD Quality Improvement System, referred to as EQUIS) international certification expert group conducted a re-certification on-site review of the School of Management and Economics of Beijing Institute of Technology。The panel was chaired by Professor Andrea Sianesi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Politecnico di Milano Foundation，Members include Professor Metka Tekavcik, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, and Matt Bolger, Vice-Chancellor, University of Waikato, New Zealand，Anton van Rossum, a former executive at McKinsey & Company and Credit Suisse。

Li Zhenjian, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of Beijing Institute of Technology, expressed warm welcome and sincere thanks to the expert group for coming to the university for on-site evaluation, and introduced the characteristics and achievements of Beijing Institute of Technology and the School of Management and Economics in discipline construction, teaching and research, international cooperation, student quality, talent training and other aspects。Wang Zhaohua, Dean of the School of Management and Economics, introduced the general situation of the school。The expert group conducted in-depth exchanges with the College on strategic planning, college governance, scientific research, team building, personnel training and other aspects。

During the on-site review, the expert group held nearly 20 discussions and meetings with school leaders, heads of relevant functional departments, heads of colleges, professors of professional responsibility, alumni, faculty representatives, and student representatives。The expert group conducted a comprehensive and in-depth investigation of the college's development strategic objectives, teaching projects, student training, teaching staff, scientific research, senior management training, resource security, internationalization level, social responsibility and sustainable development。The expert group also visited the history hall, laboratories, research centers, etc., and conducted on-site inspections of the teaching facilities and learning and office environment of the college。

After careful discussion and deliberation, the expert group formed a preliminary re-certification review opinion and gave feedback。The expert group highly appraised the achievements of the college in the past three years, highly affirmed the organization of on-site certification, and put forward specific suggestions for the further development of the college。At the feedback meeting, Li Zhenjian said that the school will conduct careful analysis and in-depth discussion according to the feedback of the expert group, and promote the further improvement and improvement of the college's school-running strength。
